Peeing, Butt Grabbing, Smoking,Serious Crimes... Seriously

At the 36th District court, in Detroit, home of the three most dangerous neighborhoods in the nation, they call the 'criminals' in droves, 10 at a time. The Judge starts speaking, seriously:" You are all accused of urinating in public, a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and up to $500 in fines. If you plead guilty, today, you'll pay only $100 fine and you'll be put under advisement, if you don't do it again in six months, it will be removed from your record. If you plead not guilty you have the right to request a trial by jury. You could be charged with indecent exposure a felony punishable by up to 2 years in jail, $1500 fine, and if convicted, you'll be placed on the sex offenders registry list for 20 years. How do you plead?" A tall, black 18 year old standing in the crowd wearing his pants down to his knees says: " Yo Onna! I was walking through the park, late at night. The bafroom was closed. I had to go. What was I supposed to do, pee on myself? I didn't know I was pissing a 'Crime'!" Another equally popular crime, is "having an open flame within 50 ft. of a combustible substance". Again the Judge calls them in droves, and gives them the same offer. A white man in mid forties, dressed in a suit and tie says: "I walk from my office everyday to the near by restaurant, have my lunch, and on way back light a cigarette. Never was I consciously aware of the gas station. I was walking on the sidewalk, when the cops stopped me. I never heard of this law, nor did I know I was doing anything wrong!" The US has about 2.5 percent of the world population, but has 25 percent of the world inmates population! Does that mean that the US has 10 times more criminals than the rest of the world? Or does it criminalize more natural acts that are considered in the rest of the world, non-crimes? When you go to a 'law library' and see the hundreds of books on the shelves with statutes and cases, and start reading, you'll get a complex. You find laws "criminalizing" just about anything you do, it is up the prosecutors though to pick and choose, when and whom they want to charge! The legislature keeps passing laws, and they stay in the books. Some of the more peculiar laws go back to the late 1800s and they're still in the books. One of these laws says that if a married woman cuts her hair 4 inches or more without the consent of her husband, then she's committed a "Spousal Disobedience" a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail and $500 in fines. There is also the "Blasphemy" law that prohibits the use of foul language in the presence of females and minors. A law that would coincidently punish 99 percent of the "law enforcement personnel"! There is also the "Sodomy" law that makes having sex any way but the missionary position, a crime! Thinking about committing suicide? Think again, its a "Crime". It is an lawful for a person or a group of people to jump from a building taller than 3 stories without a "license"! Another law passed in the late 1800 and keeps getting renewed, makes the "butt" a sexual organ and touching it, or slapping it a "high misdemeanor" punishable by up to 11 months in jail and $1500 fine! Now fast forward to the 2013, Butt grabbing, and slapping is "hipp" and wide spread. Basketball players grab their teammates butt, or slap it whenever he does a spectacular 3 pointer shot. Baseball teams send their stars out with the ceremonial butt slap down the line. Women's Volleyball male coaches send their players out with a slap on the butt! Now such "Big Crimes" are saved for the Frank Murphy hall of Justice and its overzealous star prosecutors. Imagine all these butt grabbing hellos at bars and clubs! Though no official statistics are available, but believe it or not, this is a "CSC 4" a criminal sexual conduct of the 4th degree! Imagine that, thousands of "Crimes" being committed and documented with cameras and in public and going unprosecuted! That's enough to keep Frank Murphy abuzz and busy year round! This of course excludes the butt slapping in acclaimed porn movies, for that is protected under the "Freedom of Speech Act"! Most people laugh, and are amazed that such laws do exist, and people get prosecuted by them. This makes crimes so rampant in Gathem city, and "Buttman" a most notorious criminal!
